Known as the 2018 Farm Bill, this law explicitly legalized the production and sale of hemp that contains no more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis. In this Bill, Congress amended the Controlled Substances Act to remove industrial hemp from the list of Schedule 1 drugs. As a result of the 2018 Farm Bill, the legal market for hemp and hemp-derived products was created.
